No. Turnitin's AI detection is a text product. Images inside a submission are not analysed for generation.
How it works
The pipeline extracts text. There is no image-generation classifier in the AI writing report.
The part people miss
Use a dedicated image check for that, provenance signals like C2PA and SynthID are the only ones that produce evidence rather than a guess.
Flagged for something you wrote yourself?
There is a right order to handle it in, and editing the document first destroys your best evidence.
